Public Sector Downsizing: The impact on job quality in Canada

Popular assumptions hold that these "downsized" workers will find comparable jobs in the private sector. But in this report, the author shows that for a large number of people - particularly women - employment in the private sector means lower wages, fewer benefits, and tenuous job security.
