Progress of Canada's Children 2001
(2001, 72 pp., #592, $10.00)
The Progress of Canada’s Children 2001 is the fifth in a series of annual reports from the Canadian Council on Social Development monitoring the well-being of children, youth, and families. This 72-page report presents a wealth of data and information about children and youth, organized into two main sections. The first section assesses important inputs into child and youth well-being such as economic security, physical safety, and community resources. The second section reviews how children and youth are faring by assessing outcomes such as learning achievements, health status, and youth employment.
The long-term goal of The Progress of Canada’s Children is to measure changes in children's well-being from year to year. This year's report focuses particular attention on school-aged children using information from a wide variety of studies and data sources.
