Homelessness in Canada: The Report of the National Inquiry

This report summarizes a year-long study of homelessness in Canada conducted by the CCSD in conjunction with the International Year of Shelter for the Homeless (IYSH). It includes the report of a national snapshot survey of agencies that provide shelter and related services to those in need of temporary or emergency help. It includes reports of workshops held in each province and territory, and specific recommendations arising from each of those workshops. The report concludes with the Council's recommendations on what can be done to address the structural causes of homelessness, share information, and monitor the success of new initiatives.
