A guide to this report

This report was commissioned by the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, the City of Medicine Hat, the City of Red Deer, the City of Grand Prairie and the City of Lethbridge. These communities range from 33,000 to 63,000 in population. The report is intended to provide useful reference for those interested in poverty in Alberta cities.

Sections 1 through 6 of this report compare elements of poverty among the five cities. Appendix A presents a series of reference tables supplying more detailed poverty information on individual communities.
