Searching for information about other communities?
As part of the CCSD's Urban Poverty Project, select data from the 2001 Census were compiled to create profiles for 111 urban geographies across Canada. These include profiles for the nation as a whole, the 10 provinces, 29 Census Metropolitan Areas, 22 Census Divisions, and 49 Census Subdivisions.
These geographies represent Canada's largest urban areas and a select number of cities within them, representing roughly two-thirds of the Canadian population.
If you would like information on other communities not included in this set of profiles, you can access this link to reach Statistics Canada's community profiles site.
Once there, you simply enter the name of the place for which you want data, and then select the level of geography you wish to examine.
