The CCSD's past president, Sharon Manson Singer, was recently appointed Deputy Minister of Human Resources for the Province of British Columbia. Due to her new position, Sharon has had to resign from the CCSD Board and from the many other voluntary positions she held in organizations throughout B.C. and nationally.

Since 1988, Sharon has been an enthusiastic and vigorous supporter of the Council and its work: as a Board Member for the BC/Yukon region, later as Vice President of the regioin, Chairperson of the Executive Committee, and from 1993 to 1995, as President of the Board of Directors. Over those nine years, she helped deal with some of the most challenging, difficult and exciting issues ever faced by the Council. Board members and staff of the CCSD join in wishing her the greatest success in her new role.
