Labour Market Partnership (LMP) Program Imprimer

British Columbia's Labour Market Partnership Program

The LMP Program, identified by the sector through the Government Non-Profit Initiative in 2009 (GNPI), was established to help address the human resources issues that the entire sector is facing. With over 20,000 non-profit organizations in the province of B.C., it is important to collectively develop resources that address the long-term human resources needs of the sector. The program is a partnership between the provincial and federal governments. The Vancouver Foundation has been identified as the organization to support the non- profit Labor Market Partnership in its development.

LMP Porgram vision:
The BC non-profit sector is recognized as an employer of choice and a place where all people can build meaningful, productive and long-lasting careers.

LMP Pogram mission:
Together with the BC non-profit sector, and additional expertise, develop a go-to source of resources and services for human resources management, and create a network of support for today and tomorrow’s workforce.

thriveStarting this year, and building on the previous years of work on the program, LMP has launched a new project called the “Thrive Project”. The project is looking to collaborate with the non-profit sector to develop adaptive skills and resources for British Columbia’s non- profit organizations. The project needs you to join with us so that everyone’s unique voices are heard.

Please visit the Thrive Project website – www.thriveproject.ca –  it will host information on BC’s non-profit sector and provide the opportunity for you to get involved with the project:

  • sign up for newsletters and updates on the project
  • view the community engagement events and sign up to attend
  • participate in a survey for Employers, Agencies, or Individuals to provide information on your experience in the non-profit sector in BC
  • read our blog that will feature stories and information regarding BC’s non-profit sector

The overall goal of the LMP Program is to develop a menu of HR resources and services which will be housed on a portal launching this Fall. We need your voice to be heard with ours.

We encourage you to get involved and to play a part in shaping the offerings on this portal!
