National Commission on Community Health and Social Services Print E-mail

Please engage in this consultation, and give us your advice. Creativity is born of necessity, and if there is enough interest, we see the potential for a historic leap forward for Canada's helping services.

Yes! CCSD and other national and provincial organizations wishing to join in, may organize a National Commission (a “non-royal” commission) on services for people who need the support of their community (including both publicly-mandated and community-mandated services). The Commission will be a catalyst for the thoughts and actions of thousands of local service organizations to tackle longstanding problems and impending new challenges, to improve service systems and the service environment. Several national organizations have already made input into the development of this approach, and have agreed to receive and consider recommendations consistent with their mandate and field of interest. Others are welcome!

Why a Commission?

How will the Commission be organized? What can be achieved?

Can you help us make this happen?
