Global Dignity and MC2 Launch Crowdsourced “Less. More” Campaign in 68 Countries
We’re proud to share that today, MC2, in partnership the youth empowerment organization Global Dignity, is launching our first-ever global mobile campaign: Less. More., in 68 countries around the world!
Global Dignity aims to support young people in protecting their dignity and to support others in living a more dignified life. The Less. More. campaign, is designed to empower youth to reduce digital and real-world negativity by tracking their dignity-related actions in real-time, both online and offline.
The first major mobile campaign of it’s kind, Global Dignity is featuring a special #dignity quest on MC2, where young people can crowdsource small acts of dignity like: “Pick up a piece of trash,” or “Smile.” A microaction can be done by one person or by one million people simultaneously – encouraging peers to act for the good of others and themselves.
The campaign culminates on Global Dignity Day, October 15, 2014, with over 400,000 students celebrating human dignity. Supported by leaders from around the world and across sectors, the Honorary Board of Global Dignity includes: Sir Richard Branson, President Martti Ahtisaari and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Thanks to the creative genius of ad agency BBDO New York, we’re offering teachers, partners and students all of the materials they need to participate in the Less. More. campaign locally, including: posters, flyers, Facebook and Twitter posts and dignity cards – which can be found here.
Be sure to participate in the campaign by completing a #dignity microaction!
We will be in touch over the next month with more exciting news and partnerships, which form part of our maiden voyage - happy microacting!
