CCSD President & CEO Peggy Taillon to Speak at ICSW Regional Meeting June 2-4, 2014
International Council on Social Welfare Committees
North American and Caribbean Region
June 2-4, 2014
The International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW) was founded in Paris in 1928 and began its mission to advance social welfare, social justice and social development. The Canadian Council on Social Development (CCSD) first joined the ICSW in 1948 and became its President in 1954.
We’re still inspired by social well-being today. CCSD’s President and CEO, Peggy Taillon, is the Canadian representative on the North American & Caribbean Region of the ICSW. She is participating and speaking at the Regional Meeting in Washington.
ICSW represents organizations in more than 70 countries and enjoys high level consultative status with the United Nations, where the organization is consulted and involved in social development issues discussed by the UN. www.icsw.org
