How to reach the University of Ottawa Main Campus

By car

Several roads lead to Ottawa: highway 417 from the east, highways 416, 16 and 31 from the south, Route 7 from the west and highway 17 from the northwest as well as highway 148 (Quebec) from the northeast. If you want a visual representation of the various roadways, consult the following maps:

By bus

The Ottawa-Hull region is served by Voyageur Colonial Bus Lines and Greyhound from bus stations at 265 Catherine Street in Ottawa and 238 St-Joseph Boulevard in Hull. There is a regular service from Montreal to Ottawa every hour. The incoming bus from Montreal makes a stop at the University of Ottawa, at the intersection of Laurier and Waller streets. To find out the timetables and the rates of these services, phone (613) 238-5900 (in Ottawa) or (819) 771-2442 (in Hull).

From the railway station

Train service to the City of Ottawa is provided by Via Rail Canada (1-888-842-7245). The railway station is located in the southeast of the City of Ottawa, at 200 Tremblay Road, along the Queensway.

Ottawa’s public transport service, OC Transpo, (613) 741-4390, is a few steps from the station. A taxi service is also available there.

From the airport

Ottawa International Airport, (613) 248-2125, is located south of the City and can be reached by the Airport Promenade. Bus and taxi services are available at the airport.

Montreal airports, at Dorval and Mirabel (514) 394-7377 or 1-800–465–1213, are another port of entry for international flights. Correspondence flights from Mirabel to Ottawa are also available.

There is a shuttle service every 30 minutes from the Ottawa Airport to the Westin Ottawa Hotel.
